BrainResonance: An EEG-Based System for Human Interaction
نویسندگان
چکیده
BrainResonance is an Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based system proposed to explore the feasibility of using EEG signals for human interaction. EEG signals that measure human brain activities were captured from two users simultaneously in realtime. The correlation values of their EEG alpha and beta rhythms were computed and used to drive a visual feedback system that was in the form of a simple game. Their goal was to move the animated character to a predetermined target position. Throughout the experiment, users interacted and tried different strategies to improve the correlation values of their EEG signals. The preliminary results are encouraging. Certain strategies are shown to improve the correlation of the EEG signals.

Introduction: Clinicians use several computer-aided diagnostic systems for depression to authorize their diagnosis. An electroencephalogram (EEG) may be used as an objective tool for early diagnosis of depression and controlling it from reaching a severe and permanent state. However, artifact contamination reduces the accuracy in EEG signal processing systems. Methods: This work proposes a no...
